David Sullivan Speaks
Joint-Chairman David Sullivan is looking forward to being reunited with the ‘best goalkeeper’ he has worked with in Joe Hart.

West Ham United have signed England’s No1 on a season-long loan from Manchester City, reunifying Hart with the man who brought him to Birmingham City in 2009.

Eight years on, Mr Sullivan is delighted to have again secured the services of a stopper who earned a place in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year during his season at St Andrews.

“Joe was absolutely fantastic for us at Birmingham City eight years ago,” said the Joint-Chairman, who played an influential role in completing the deal for the 30-year-old. “He is the best goalkeeper I’ve worked with and I fully expect him to be equally as good for us this coming season.

“I have been working on this transfer for some months and to see Joe wearing a West Ham United shirt is very satisfying. I expect him to be a great player for our Club and can’t wait to see him in a Hammers shirt at London Stadium for the first time.

“Joe has gone from strength to strength since his season at Birmingham, when he was voted Player of the Year, and it would not surprise me at all if he is in the running for the Hammer of the Year award come next May.”

Hart joins his former Manchester City teammate and fellow two-time Premier League champion Pablo Zabaleta at London Stadium, and the Joint-Chairman revealed the summer spending is not yet over.

“We are concentrating solely now on signing two attackers, then we will be satisfied,” the Joint-Chairman confirmed.

“We said at the start of the summer that we wanted to prioritise quantity over quality and that is what we have done, and what we will continue to do.

“The Board and the management know we need a couple of players who will help us to score more goals next season, so that is what we will be concentrating on over the coming days and weeks.”

I ASSUME THIS MEANS QUALITY OVER QUANTITY AND NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND

1. Ag!

2. Adrian will be delighted to read this.

3. If he thinks Hart will be HOTY, what kind of season does he anticipate?

4. He should get a spokesman. Even a spokesperson would do.

OTB- that is a genius copy error!

Re: David Sullivan Speaks
It just shows that Sullivan is a classless wanker. Quantity over quality indeed!

I love the way he's taking credit for Hart as if he is the only reason Hart is coming to rejoin his old boss.

He's going to look a right mug if Hart makes a mistake first game.

Re: David Sullivan Speaks
To be fair to him Coffee, we've barely heard from him in two months so that's a lot of verbal diarrhoea he needed to expel.

So having a dig at Adrian, suggesting we'll be defending a lot, saying that we need more players regardless of quality and saying we're only signing one striker probably isn't too bad by his standards.

Re: David Sullivan Speaks
if he's so fucking great why'd you only get him on loan you clown?

didi Dave is such a cock, completely in love with himself.
him and Beardy will be creaming themselves at getting in just about enough quality to stay in the league but with a net spend of roughly £15m.

Because we want to save on our wages and transfer budget, so we can get the quality strikers we need?

Just a thought.

Johnson has taken the words out of my mouth.

I hope the defenders have been instructed not to concede any free kicks on the edge of the box.

Still, at least we now know whose deal this was if it goes the shape of the pear.

Re: David Sullivan Speaks
i thought it was definitely 2 strikers?

Now its 2 attackers?

I guess that means this overpriced winger coming in and then snodgrass leaving.

Bit of a re-definition that, is so.

He is only on loan. Then what?

Re: David Sullivan Speaks
transfer budget?
we've spent (relatively) zero thus far. two more attackers will cost £36m but we have or will have recouped close on to £20m in sales.

like i said, if he was so amazing you'd find a way of doing a perm deal or agree a compulsory purchase at the end of the loan.

Unless Sullivan actually types the copy for the website and pushes the button to publish it I think all that proves is the social media team have a poor QA system.

Don't matter what we have spent, it's about what we can spend.

He and Bilic will have made a decision based on that rather that what some plum on a website reckons.

Re: David Sullivan Speaks
so hart on loan
zab on a free
arny for 20m (+4m add ons)
hernandez 13m

not that i 'd turn my nose up at them 4, but again hardly the "any player in the world" type of signing we were promised?

goose 11:39 Wed Jul 19
Re: David Sullivan Speaks
Surely what we've spent has a huge impact on what we can spend?

You plum.

AlvinMartinAllen 11:44 Wed Jul 19
Re: David Sullivan Speaks
No the point is THEM knowing the FULL budget rather than YOU not knowing it and just saying we should have bought a 20m+ rated keeper on 120k a week as we haven't spent anything yet.
